This sample study plan assumes that the student did not complete any Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, or community college coursework prior to matriculation. It also assumes the student will complete the Entry-Level Writing Requirement and the American History and Institutions requirement before their first quarter at UC Davis. Students must also place into MAT 17A or higher by their first quarter to follow this plan.

MGT 098 is listed to assist with the transition to UC Davis and fulfills unit requirements only.

The general education courses listed only represent what is not fulfilled by the major: 16 units in Arts and Humanities topical breadth and three units in Domestic Diversity. The plan assumes the student will complete the general education requirement with the fewest courses possible by 'double dipping' their breadth with their literacies.
