Academic Assistance for Current Students

Students Seeking a Tutor

If you are having difficulty with your coursework, your first step is to talk with your instructor. They can recommend additional resources, provide guidance on what additional work you can do, and possibly identify a tutor to help you master the course material.

If you need additional help, please contact your program manager or Director of Student and Academic Services. You can also opt into the tutoring program by clicking the button to your right to complete a tutoring interest form that will allow you to select the courses for which you need tutoring support.

Please note that it is recommended that you consider the content of courses coming up over the next couple of quarters. Planning ahead will help ensure you reach academic success.

It’s very important to reach out for assistance as early as possible to maximize your opportunity to strengthen your performance.

Students Interested in Tutoring

If you are interested in tutoring for a particular class, fill out the interest form by clicking the button to your right. If you have questions about the Tutoring program, please contact your program manager or Director of Student and Academic Services.

There are a variety of traits that would make someone eligible to tutor, including the most important traits listed below:

  • You have completed the course in question, preferably with an A or A+ in the course.
  • You are currently not a TA for the course in question.

  • You have been waived out of the course in question, due to past relevant curricular or professional experience.

  • You are passionate about tutoring and have other relevant experience. Example: Tutor with CPA cert or experience interested in Tutoring for Financial Accounting.

Note: Tutors will assist students who find the course work in a specific class challenging. SAS will act as the facilitator and connect tutors with students who come from any one of the GSM programs. From there it is between the tutor and the student to organize tutoring sessions and decide on a price point for the tutoring services.
